Up to \u20ac1.2 bil\u00adlion in public funds have been made available for the pro\u00adject, which is expec\u00adted to unlock a fur\u00adther \u20ac1.4 bil\u00adlion in invest\u00adment from the pri\u00advate sec\u00adtor. As part of IPCEI, 19 com\u00adpa\u00adnies, inclu\u00adding small and medium-sized enter\u00adpri\u00adses, will carry out 19 highly inno\u00adva\u00adtive projects.<\/p>\n<p>The offi\u00adcial pro\u00adject name IPCEI-CIS is a little cum\u00adber\u00adsome and initi\u00adally reve\u00adals little about the actual pro\u00adject. These effi\u00adci\u00adency gains through edge com\u00adpu\u00adting are also being exploi\u00adted in sen\u00adsi\u00adtive and incre\u00adasingly secu\u00adrity-cri\u00adti\u00adcal areas of appli\u00adca\u00adtion, such as energy gene\u00adra\u00adtion. The chall\u00adenge here is to pro\u00adtect the hard\u00adware and ser\u00advices used in often hete\u00adro\u00adge\u00adneous ope\u00adra\u00adting envi\u00adron\u00adments against cyber\u00adat\u00adtacks. Stan\u00addards, pro\u00adces\u00adses, and ser\u00advices used in con\u00adven\u00adtio\u00adnal data cen\u00adters are the\u00adr\u00ade\u00adfore not suitable.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the pro\u00adject \u201cCyber-phy\u00adsi\u00adcal secu\u00adrity using radio\u00adme\u00adtry for the edge\u201d (C\u2011ray4edge) is to deve\u00adlop a tech\u00adni\u00adcal frame\u00adwork to secure the ope\u00adra\u00adtion of edge com\u00adpu\u00adting. The \u201cnor\u00admal ope\u00adra\u00adtion\u201d of a net\u00adwork node is recor\u00added as a pro\u00adfile of its elec\u00adtro\u00adma\u00adgne\u00adtic radia\u00adtion.
