Stef\u00adfen Lack\u00admann, co-part\u00adner of West\u00adfa\u00adlen\u00adWIND and mem\u00adber of the board of the NRW Rene\u00adwa\u00adble Energy Asso\u00adcia\u00adtion (LEE NRW), explai\u00adned how the accep\u00adtance of the popu\u00adla\u00adtion could be won: \u201cIt worked because we took the local peo\u00adple along tog\u00ade\u00adther with the poli\u00adti\u00adci\u00adans. Many are directly invol\u00adved in the wind tur\u00adbi\u00adnes, the vol\u00adun\u00adt\u00adary work bene\u00adfits from an energy foun\u00adda\u00adtion and the citi\u00adzens have bene\u00adfi\u00adted from a sub\u00adsi\u00addi\u00adsed elec\u00adtri\u00adcity tariff for years.\u201d Mayor Ute D\u00fcl\u00adfer, who atten\u00added the mee\u00adting with her pre\u00adde\u00adces\u00adsor Josef Hart\u00admann, added: \u201cWe are incre\u00addi\u00adbly happy to have the wind tur\u00adbi\u00adnes. They account for 30 per cent of our trade tax reve\u00adnue.\u201d This is how the form\u00aderly struc\u00adtu\u00adrally weak town has become the muni\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adlity with the hig\u00adhest per capita income in the Pader\u00adborn district.<\/p>\n
